As all of our cakes are bespoke and made to order our prices are determined on a cake-by-cake basis and depend on the size, flavour, complexity and quantity of work involved.   If you are working on a budget we will be able to suggest alterations and designs that will work for you.

Absolutely!  We are always adding to our range of flavours and cakes that are free-from various ingredients to cater for special dietary needs.  We can offer wheat and gluten free and/or dairy free cakes, low sugar and eggless.  We will always try to adapt recipes to accommodate our client’s needs so please contact us with any special requests and in the meantime browse our gallery of previous bakes.


Victoria’s Cake Boutique makes cakes for every occasion.  In the past we have made cakes for weddings, birthdays, religious holidays, leaving parties, anniversaries, leaving parties, retirement events, christenings and many more! 

We are able to make simple cakes with minimal decoration or elaborate detailed cakes.  Cakes can be finished either ‘naked’, with buttercream or ganache, or with fondant icing.  We also offer cupcakes and a range of cakes for special dietary needs such as gluten and/or dairy free.  Please have a look at our galleries to see our previous work, and contact us to make an enquiry.

Nearly all the decorations on our cakes are handmade and edible.  However, the cake may include non-edible parts within the decoration which must be removed before the cake is cut and served, such as wires within sugar flowers, fresh flowers, internal supports etc. If being cut at a venue, PLEASE ENSURE that items are removed with care and retained for the customer to keep if required – this is especially important with fragile sugar flowers or modelled figure toppers which are usually retained as a keepsake.

Sugar flowers and figurines should not be refrigerated or frozen. They can be stored wrapped in tissue paper and placed in a small cardboard box with a few sachets of silica crystals. They will keep indefinitely, if kept away from moisture, heat and sunlight. If your figurines comes with a wire or pick, these can be cut off or pushed into a foam block before storage.  It is possible to keep items under glass so that they can be displayed, however some fading is expected.

Decorated cakes should not normally be stored in a refrigerator unless fresh cream has been used.  If the cake is not to be displayed straight away, it should be stored in the box in a cool room, somewhere where it will not be moved or knocked.

Once the cake is cut, any leftover cake can be stored for future consumption.  A fruit cake covered with marzipan and fondant icing will keep for up to a  month in a cool dry place, simply covered with baking parchment. Do not store in a sealed plastic container as the cake may ‘sweat’ and go mouldy. If necessary store in a cake box or cake tin.  Sponge cake can be refrigerated for up to one week. 

Alternatively, since all our cakes are baked fresh for your event and not pre-frozen, you will be able to freeze any left-overs. Remove any decorations you wish to keep, remove all the icing cut your cake into individual portions, then double wrap in cling film and place in an airtight box in the freezer.  Frozen cake should be fully defrosted prior to consumption.

Yes! You will be able to either collect your cake from our address in Witham or we can deliver dependent on the location. This can all be agreed at the time you make an order.
Sometimes a cake will require special set-up and we will recommend that we deliver and the set-up the cake at your chosen location.

Please note, there may be a delivery charge to cover time and cost for the delivery.
